Carmel Corn Recipe and Page

This is my mother's recipe. I truly love it and am pleased to share it:

Carmel Corn

1 Cup Butter
2 Cups Brown Sugar
½ Cup Corn Syrup
1 tsp Salt
½ tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Vanilla
6 quarts popped popcorn

Melt Butter, stir in brown sugar, syrup and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring. Then boil 5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat, stir in soda, and vanilla. It will foam. Pour over popped corn and mix well. Turn into a shallow baking pan. Bake in 250 degree oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove, cool and break apart.
